Come use our space & equipment. you can book The Stitchery for the day as an individual for your exclusive use or you can book The Stitchery so you can run classes/workshops. The difference in cost accounts for more equipment usage and servicing costs.
The Stitchery is a fully equipped sewing space with access to the following equipment:
- Singer 20U zig zag & straight stitch machine
- Bernina Industrie 850
- Walking foot machine (ideal for leather, canvas etc)
- 5 lock overlocker
- 4 lock overlocker
- Cover seamer & binder
- Industrial iron & ironing board
- Steam press
- Cricut
- Cutting tables in a variety of heights with protective cutting mats ideal for rotary blades
We have a kitchenette & toilet.
Included in this package is coffee, tea, oat & regular milk. We have a small fridge & microwave you can use.
Please note our building is not accessible for those in wheel chairs. We do have 19 steps to our second floor location. These steps have a hand rail to support you if you need it. If you need help lifting things into the building please let us know as we are happy to help.
We are located in Porirua
Free parking avaliable on the street or in our car park area.
Note: We are based on the second floor of the building. Our stairs do have hand rails however it isn't friendly for moblility compromised people.
